we're both awfully poor right now and just spent some cash on plane tix to visit her family in dallas over xmas. i just feel kinda weird about having someone spend cash on me that could be better used right now, but i also don't want to say: "oh nothing, dear."

so, think of something cheap. i'm fresh out of ideas!

My husband and I are strapped right now too... I ended up getting him a cd he wanted, but I think we are going to delay our gifts to each other until things are a bit more liquid. We've thought about pooling our money together and buying a nice digital camera for both of us to use though...

I don't know if you have kids or not, but just a quiet night alone with a bottle of wine, maybe a nice dinner you could prepare together, that would be nice.
