lol, every time that I try to tell people that the Rams, Cardinals and Niners aren't as bad as their record might indicate the Cards lose a game like they lost to the Lions yesterday, the Rams literally steal a game from a downtrodden Saints team and the niners get killed by the Redskins. But I know what you are saying Spade - at least this year I can say that we are making sure to get those wins :)

Say what you want about Hasslebeck - he certainly has a lot to prove to skeptics and needs to step up in some upcoming big games- but he's a very talented player who has been to a pro-bowl and our West Coast Offense definitely plays to his strengths - He would have at least 4 less interceptions this season were it not for unfortunate bounces off of players who were trying to make difficult catches only to have the ball bounce off them into the air and into a defender's hands(I realize this is a fact of life, just am trying to give a little perspective).

The Defense is beginning to show that it legit as well - we held an explosive Atlanta offense to a minimal amount of yardage early in the game until we went into Prevent at the end of the game and let Vick get loose for a long run. Total Yards wise on defense we are only 16th in the league, but somehow we manage to hold teams in the red zone to FG's and those rank towards the top of the league in points per game allowed. Kind of a bend but don't break thing.

Believe me guys, I completely understand your skepticism - the Hawks have burned people(including me) in the past with showing flashes of brilliance - the difference this year seems to be that we got rid of some locker room cancers and brought in a number of high character, hard working guys.

I really am not interested in any team in that division whatsoever to be honest. I've always disliked the Rams, got sick of the Seahawks hype over the past couple years. The Cardinals rule because they knocked the Vikings out of the playoffs. http://vikingscardinals2004.ytmnd.com/.

around week 12 every year (just after the 5-6 Bears have blown a game in Detroit on thanksgiving or something similar) a buddy of mine and I pretend to be Cardinals fans for the remainder of the year, because, well, they really need fans. Bad.

lol - Seahawks hype...I love it when people complain about this - HYPE?? Hype is the crap that we have to listen to with all of the East Coast Team media bias - it seems impossible to get legitimate national press out here for a good TEAM because the national sports media is too busy talking about the underpreforming Jets or teams with a longer history of success like the Bills or Raiders.

I will gladly admit that when the Hawks underperformed a bit the last two years after a few quick starts that people have been burned on them...but hype???? Come on.......

No offense chrome, but the Falcons offense is far from explosive (we are a running, ball control team with a very limited passing game) and the Seahawks honestly should have lost that game. Put it this way, the next big game that this incarnation of the Seahawks win will be their first. Not saying they can't---they just have a lot to prove.

There should be no doubting the Seattle offense. They have the 2nd best RB in the game, arguably now the best O-line, a potential pro-bowl QB and a very talented "no-name" core of WRs/TEs. Hell, they have the #1 rated offense in the NFL.

I do worry about the D---they're definitely improving over the season, and are 2nd in the league in sacks, but do tend to give up the yards. They're not really a "championship" level D, but maybe their high-powered offense will make up for some of that.

I expect them to beat the Giants at home, and should win either at Philly or at home vs the Colts. Allowing for a down game and unexpected loss in one of their other 4 remaining games, that puts them at 12-4, likely good enough for home-field for most of the playoffs.

I don't see this team collapsing like the last few versions of the Seahawks have---maybe I've been suckered again. We'll see. They've crushed my hopes many times over the years.

Hype? Yes, when you have to hear how the team to beat is the Seahawks for 3 years and they don't do anything, you have reason to not care that 4th year when they are. Good for them though, I guess. I didn't even know they were having a good year.

Should've lost the game? What's your reasoning there? They dominated the Falcons in the first half, and played well enough to hold on to win. They pretty much held Vick in check, and then he went out with a pulled hammy with 2-3 minutes remaining--is this the reason? It's not as if a bad call or lucky bounce tipped the game to Seattle. Maybe my recollection is off, but remind me how Atlanta really won that game.

After dominating the first half (and really just the second quarter) the Seahawks completely folded up (thanks to some very suspect playcalling by alleged "genius" Mike Holmgren) in the second half, allowing the Falcs back into the game and, if not for the Vick injury, would have most certainly lost.

Yelch. That team can prove me wrong. They are the sixth best team in the NFC at best come playoff time even if they go 14-2. I wouldnt be scared at all to go play in that stadium. PU.

Seattle did let Atlanta back in, but they doubled-up the Falcons in yards, holding them to just over 200 for the game. They had held Vick in check for 3.75 quarters---I'm not sure you can say Atlanta would have "most certainly" won if he could've played the final 3 minutes.

There's no doubt that Seattle has to prove the naysayers wrong--they haven't won a playoff game in 20 years. I think (and hope) that drought will end this season.

Total yardage is a fairly inconsequential stat, like time of posession or team batting average....It is far more important to look at trends (and final scores) and the Seahawks have this persistent trend of not closing out opponents which is where that came was going. Of course that didnt happen and I credit the Seahawks with pulling the game out--in the NFL a win is most certainly a win and as a Falcs fan I understand that Winning Ugly is sometimes how its done...

I mean no disrespect to the Seahawks though--they are playing great mos def and really need to stop playing that dis game with shaun a.; that dude is tight. PAY A NIGGA HIS MONEY AND BE DONE WITH IT.
