reinstalled my printer software (epson photo stylus 2200) and all the jobs get stopped in queue. the printer is connected to the computer by firewire and the printer connection reads as epson usb instead of epson firewire. could this be the problem? i can't seem to change this.

any other possibilites?

You will probably need to remove the existing printer and add a new one with the correct settings.

In the printer dialog box where it says printer-click, add printer and follow the instructions. But make sure your printer is plugged in and power is on.

Also make sure that you have updated the drivers from here:
