All schools are closed in my area, and thus I get to stay home too. Woohoo! I feel like I'm 10 again.

i'm SO not ready for it.
it's supposed to snow here this afternoon.

i used to LOVE snow. (and i probably still do. but last year REALLY jaded me.)

where i live....the snow just BLOWS and DRIFTS with a vengeance. my car got stuck in my driveway several times. my friends' cars got stuck several times. i had to dig WAY too many cars out last winter.

and you'd think i'd learn.....but i STILL don't own a shovel.

(mental note: pick up a damn shovel this weekend.)

It's fucking cold as hell here (-21 C/-6F) and likely colder with the wind. And it's been snowing too.

It's been in the mid-high 80's here. No sight of snow.

It's the first rain we've had here in many weeks, and it's supposed to start getting COLD.

*sigh*

poor Tania, it must be sooooooo hard living in California.

heh heh

Last night it was "l'enfer" here (or actually the opposite of it); cold rain whipping all around everywhere, freezing cold puddles about 1 ft deep, my measly umbrella flipping inside out... no escape. I had to put my sneakers and pants in the dryer when I finally made it home.

At least it was an excuse to cuddle up on the couch & watch movies.

I like snow and rain. It's the middle of fall and we're having summer weather! I will admit that it's been absolutely gorgeous outside -- unfortunately, my allergies are also suffering.

You're all welcome to come and visit. :)

I don't know why either. We're fucking stupid, is one way of looking at it. I got a 15 min walk from where I park to where I make it to the main building. Yesterday I couldn't feel my legs.

Actually at the moment, there's a pretty good chance I might be moving one province over to southern Alberta near the BC border, which is a little more temperate.

Here's the view from my porch this morning:

It actually wasn't a very bad storm... I'm not sure why everything was closed, it usually takes a lot more snow to shut down this area. Maybe its worse in the highlands - I'm only a few blocks from the Lake.
