how is it? did i fuck up by not buying any at the store? i'm on a quest to find a beer that I genuinely do not like, and this has entailed 6-packs upon 6-packs for investigation. I have come to one so far: sam adams summer wheat. either it was flat or it was shit. i'm leaning toward shit.

so this hoegaarden?

i've really gone thru quite a list of beers in this experiment, as it's stretched since late spring. i should have kept a tally.

I love hoegaarden more than any other white beer. I could drink buckets of it. Perfect summer time beer or autumn/winter beer if you happen to be lucky enough to be someplace warm. I can see it being an acquired taste though, as it's kind of clovey.

I drank two or three of them one day, and that's about all I think I really need. Better than Grolsch.

I like it. But no fruit. The bartenders here try to give you either lemon or orange. No!! But it's kindof sweet and not heavy, so good when it's hot outside. It's better than Blue Moon. The taste sort of reminds me of the way potpourri smells. (but not so overwhelming)

Hoegaarden is good. Also good with a lemon wedge, assuming you're drinking draught. I don't like lemons in any kind of bottled beer.

It's a warm weather beer, and I probably have like one or two a year.

a nearly perfect summer beer, and no beer drinker should be ashamed of having it with a lemon wedge (when draught).

i love it. i probably drink it more than any other beer, because 1) often it's the only belgian around, and 2) it's not $8/12oz. like the others.

I'm not big on Belgian beers but this one I like pretty well. I can usually only drink one before I'm ready to move on to something else though. I think a lot of wheat beer tastes like regular beer with sand poured into it.

i've stolen 3 of those big fuckers, which are roughly 2.5 beers each. You can get them at the beer store, the bottle gives you instructions of how to pour to get the best draught like taste.

Man do I miss The Beer Store. Ontario has the best liquor stores in the world.
