Nope, we have a 1200 sq foot Condo right now, so no dogs at all - but I'd love to get a Berner - they have been a favorite of mine for a long time.

Yeah, Rosie has bilateral, severe hip dysplasia; she is doing surprisingly well without much intervention at all thus far. We have antiinflammatory medication for her to use as needed, but she has shown little to no signs of pain or activity restriction.

It would have cost $3000-4000+ to replace her hips, and we decided we weren't going down that road.

I expect she'll have more issues as she ages, but we're prepared to deal with those as they arise.

Luckily, Jack's hips are healthy.

This is our new dog, Kanga, that we got from my brother and his wife (they just had their second kid and just couldnt handle it). I just discovered that this dog is camera shy: She wouldnt look at the camera, so I'll have to get a better shot later. A real cutie if slightly crazy:

yeah, Yams, that cat is creepy, but Herschel's cutie pie looks more than makes up for it. I'm surprised Herschel hasn't tried to eat the cat yet. The other doggy is very cute too. I love crazy dog ears like that!

Actually, she's not a grumpy cat at all....She's just super laid back most of the time. Her face is completely flat so when she eats she has to put her paw in the bowl and sort of scoop the food into her mouth(no kidding, I'll try and get a pic of it sometime----I personally was shocked)

Oh and D: Both dogs get along really well with cats so its not a problem. Hershcel is more pissed that the cat gets to hang out inside all the time.
