Legendary Pink Dots.

Belgium, I think. But they might be Dutch.

Yeah but try the continent of Africa.

I'll bet none of you have a favorite artist from the Republic Of Congo or Tanzania.

a separate country!!!!

But you guys sound the same.

Ha. Ask a Kiwi to say fish and chips. Hilarious. Then again, an Australian among Americans sticks out really badly. That guy on House for instance

Anyway, Australia claims all the good/successful NZ bands, actors, directors etc as our own, so the world probably sees us as the same.

You can keep Russell Crowe though

You also claimed AC/DC and they were mostly Scottish. So was the main guy in Men At Work and Jimmy Barnes but you can have those two....

Yeah, they don't have to be good to be claimed by us, just sell a truckload overseas and have some vague connection with Aus.

This is why someone like Olivia Newton-John is taken seriously as a musical artist by a significant proportion of the local media.

She was cute too and that made it a much easier sell.

I remember when we did the NZ music scene as a focus at my radio station and instead of drawing just bands on the flyer, we listed all the bandmembers on the outside of the page and drew lines connecting them to each other in the middle. Good times

Saw the 3Ds a few times live, not bad. The Tall Dwarves just played here and christ they sucked though

Democratic Republic of Congo: Franco, Papa Noel, Ricardo Lemvo

Tanzania: Culture Music Club

I don't get this thread though...if a country is poor and black does that automatically qualify them as small and obscure?
