His replacement [down here anyway] is David Lee Roth. I always said that I could listen to that guy for hours, so I'll have my chance.

I'm seriously thinking about Sirius radio though. Anyone else have it? Good> Bad? Ugly?

whaddup?

I've always been interested in it but I'm not in my car enough to justify it. At home, I rarely listen to music.

I don't think anyone carries Stern here, if so I have no idea who is replacement is going to be. Bob and Tom have pretty much been our subsitute for him since the late 70's.

I would get Sirius for Underground Garage, but not Stern. At this time though, there's still not enough to get me to ditch just carrying my own shit around or streaming Pandora or WOXY on the computer.

I just got XM this week. Deciding factor - Stern wasn't on it.

That's a pretty stupid reason to get XM.

If for some reason NPR stopped broadcasting via FM radio in my area, I'll switch to Sirius immediately to keep listening to it. It seems that when I'm not listening to NPR, I fill up the time with my music collection.

It sounds weird, but I basically have a CD-RW that I burn every week that holds 8-9 albums from my collection for the drive to and from school. When one cycle is finished, I use Audiograbber to put 8-9 more albums onto my computer, and they eventually find their way onto the CD-RW.

good luck with that, i haven't heard anything good about the one walkman type they do offer. they have another one that looks nice but it's not really a radio, it just records streams and you can play them back.

i'm probably going to buy a boombox type radio around xmas. i just got an e-mail from sirius the other day and i think they have a bunch of radios on sale.
