Is it possible to go to the club and buy tickets for an upcoming show and avoid the service charge, or is their website the only way to get advance tickets?

As far as I know you have to get them online to get them in advance. Isn't the service charge only like $1.50? I miss going to that venue. Not enough stuff up my alley rolls thru there.

Website only, or at the door, unless it's a ticketmaster event, which then you have to go to a ticketmaster outlet to get tickets. Schuba's doesn't sell tickets.

If you buy tickets on the internet you just get your name on a list, you won't get any paper tickets or anything.

yeah, the website service is only $1.50 and schuba's shows rarely sell out, especially during the week.

but if you buy online and eat dinner on the other side of the club at Harmony Grill, bring your internet receipt and you get a free appetizer or something on show night. The chow there is REALLY fucking good.

Mention Meat Loaf (the musician, not the food) to Tony the bartender and you might get free drinks for life.
