DOVES have announced their comeback single will be titled ‘BLACK AND WHITE TOWN’.

The single will be released on February 7, followed by their third album ‘Some Cities’ on February 21. The record is the follow-up to 2002's chart-topping ‘The Last Broadcast’.

I thought I remembered reading somewhere a while back that the US release date(Probable) was in March.

Which seems about right if it's being released in Feb UK.

But hell yeah, this is great fucking news.

I've been waiting patiently for this album to come out.

I just hope to god they'll be touring not long after, their show in '02 was one of the best I've ever seen.

I may have to put on Last Broadcast now. (my bosses aren't here, it's dead and I brought my mp3 player to work with me..hehehe)

Suede - one of my favorite bands, ever. i have a secret love affair with brett.
The Dears - listened to the album a few times, didn't really get much out of it.
The Frank & Walters - never heard
The Black Halos - never heard
The Departure - one of the better new british bands. love both singles so far, and am anticipating the labum.
Jesse Malin - not fond of.

I think you should check out The Black Halos. And definetly the Frank and Walters. If you are on SS I can hook you up. Or.. this CC thing even. I've signed up, but never used it.

Official US release date for the Doves on Capital Records is March 1, 2005.

Suede put out one of the best album of the 90’s called Dog Man Star. It was recorded while the band was breaking apart at the seams. They let go of the glam rock that was their debut and created a masterpiece, IMO. They replaced Butler with two members but were never able to capture that magic again. After three more album they were put on hold in 2002. Interestingly enough Anderson and Butler started to talk again and one thing lead to another and headed back into the studio. Thus the Tears were born and is one of my most anticipated albums of next year.

The Dears are pretty good but they aren’t from the UK at all, they are from Montreal, Canada. I have heard the album once and really liked it but have not revisited it yet. Some people say the lead singer sounds like a cross between Morrissey and Damon Albarn.
