So, I was at Target, wasting time, and buying shit I don't need when I came upon the holiday sampler pack from these guys:
TURKEY AND GRAVY SODA
WILD HERB STUFFING SODA
BRUSSEL SPROUTS WITH PROSCIUTTO SODA
PUMPKIN PIE SODA
CRANBERRY SODA

I kinda thought it was a joke, and that these would taste normal. NOPE. I only had the Pumpkin Pie one as FEMGAR and her parents watched and cringed/laughed.

Anyone else try these? It came with a wine selection list, so maybe I will try the rest with the wines they reccomend. I can't really say the one I had was good enough for me to be curious about the others. But I do think it was BAD enough to make me curious.

I was hoping that the Turkey/Gravy woould have the consistency and fat content of real gravy. How else will I make 1/2 a ton by election day 2006?

but i'd never buy them. or even drink them.

so, i'd appreciate a review thread for each and every flavor, please.

I will say that Pumpkin one had potential, but it also tasted weird, and it didn't quite match the texture. Kinda like drinking flavored seltzer water,if the flavor was diluted pumpkin pie?

I'll post as I drink em. And as I drink wine. That could get fun.

well that Turkey and Gravy sounds good. And maybe Pecan Pie.

I also liked a few of their other flavors but I can't remember them now.

Somehow, cold, carbonated turkey gravy just doesn't sound appetizing.

Jones is cool, because you can take a picture, send it in and they might put it on the bottle for a few thousand-bottle run.

Bad thing is, aren't they like $1 each?

The concept of the T-giving flavors is pretty funny. Why don't they have beer flavored ones and give Sharps a run for their $$?

I passed by this display in Target the other day but I really wasn't paying attention and just thought it was some normal Jones soda.

but so yummy. and i mean that without the slightest hint of innuendo. i had them for the first time in san diego with just lettuce and lime squeezed over then top. most places i've been call then "pescado tacos" to avoid the unsavory association.

You know that sound when you pop the top of a turkey and gravy soda? That "pfffft" sound? That's the sound of the terrorists winning.
