So I went a little crazy this evening (for me at least) and went on a bit of a shopping spree. (I gave my 2 weeks notice at the record store and am moving on to new employment so I need to take advantage of my discount before I go.)

Anyone else go on a spree lately? Maybe a 'spree' for me is just a regular day at the record store for others here?

today:

+ Hanne Hukkelberg - Little Things
+ Stevie Wonder - Original Musiquarium I ($25.00)
+ Goldfrapp - Supernature (import... normally $34.99 canadian)
+ George Faith - To Be A Lover (limited edition... normally $36.99 canadian)
+ VA - JazzActuel: a collection of avant garde/free jazz/psychedelia (3 cd mini boxset) ($35.00)

Speaking of which a friend of mine who works in FYE is going to be letting me in on Friday for a 50% off family and employee only sale. Any ideas what I should tell him to pick me up? I'm think boxsets, as most of their cds are too high anyway.

the b-52s - the b52s (i love rock lobster so much the rest of the album could suck and i wouldnt care. luckily, its an excellent album)
john lennon - imagine (heard more than a few times but never bought.)
eric b & rakim - paid in full
nick drake - five leaves left
k'naan - the dusty foot philosopher
ice-t - original gangsta
mr bungle - mr bungle

all but two were under 10 bucks.

Nice haul. I think I'm going on a jag this week, as the big box is selling some fairly good stuff for $7.99: U2, Queens of the Stone Age among others.

I'm trying to be good...

Though I picked up 5 CDs at Amoeba 2 weeks ago (Sun Kil Moon, Bellini, Explosions in the sky, Wolf Parade, & something else)..... Kids in the Hall season 3 w/the DeepdiscountDVD sale last week... and will be picking up some Best Buyage on Friday - supposedly $20 Seinfeld sets and $80 160 GB external hard drives...

but, since I splurged on a Roland 404 this week, the "spree" tag must remain off for a while. Just a "jaunt" now and again...
