yup

After Josh and I disagreed a while back over who sung the song I had to look it up on amg to prove to him it was The Kinks. Title is "picture book".

It's a cool song. Me like.

Holy shit! That is weird. I'm on the computer while my wife is watching Law & Order and that commercial came on. She asked me if I knew who did that song and I came here to post a ? and find out.

Fuckin' weird.

Maybe I'm married to Bort's mother-in-law.

That is an awesome commercial. I like the one where the guy is putting the frames over his head. Pure graphic genious. The music is great too!

It's wonderful when advertisers actually put an effort into finding a great song that will fit in perfectly with a commercial.

Ironically, "What I like About You" is a song used in commercials in which almost no effort is made.

I just hope when they inevitably decide to use "Photograph," they go with Ringo Starr and not Def Leppard. (I realize it's not the same song, but it does have the same title.)

Jesus, its not a test.

There are probably huge gaps in all of our musical knowledge. Thankfully, our gaps don't overlap too much, and we can come here and help each other fill in the blanks.

I hope that commercial is as good as the SNL take on Herbal Essence for Men.

Holy CRAP! You mean I'm supposed to know everything about every band and every album??!!??

omg omg

I'm soo sorry. I'm going to go spend all my son's college fund right now so I can buy every album there is and know every song.

 :splode:

(I'm kidding but still, some of us know some bands while others know other bands, I'm sure all the Kinks fans of the board just didn't happen to be near the computer those first five minutes)

commercial question:

What's the song playing in the Diamond commercial where the guy re-purposes to his wife in front of some old people in front of some steps. The old people being the wife's parents.

Great album. The version I have has a Mono version and a Stereo version with different track listings and even different songs. Cool.
