Nah, the kids were away a lot the past few days -- couple of sleepovers and visiting grandparents. Wife and I caught up on some socializing and plenty of boozing.

But I don't drink heavily when the kids are home, except some Friday/Saturday nights. Even then, I make sure to time the imbibing to when they're sound asleep.

But a body could get used to getting trashed here and there. Yes.

While the kids were away I discovered that my ex-sister-in-law has married an Episcopal pastor, one of my best friends from college has a gay lover, and that the 20-year old cute bar manager at the local Irish pub is actually an ex-girlfriend's adopted daughter.

Shit, man. You go to work six day a week and raise kids and things get by you.

I have plans to meet up with a french musician/model (um, female) for a couple of drinks in about 20 minutes but all I want to do is stay in my warm apartment, play on "the innernets" and listen to music.

Not really. She used to do a lot of acting (theatre) and she is stunning looking and the right height... modeling here and there is a good way to pay the bills.

Actually, now that I think about it, it's not that bizarre. I mean, Milla did it. (And that was exactly it -- she did the supermodel work as her "day job" so that she could do music [I don't know where the movies come in].)
