My dad's house is off a county road in South Alabama, Much privacy, not much traffic, but cars do come down the road. What usually doesn't is people.

So, abouy 11PM last night, when my dad came into the living room and told me to "grab my cars keys, we gotta give this guy a ride" I was hit with more than a small amount of trepidation, and not just because I had had at least 8 pints of Guiness at this point. My trepidation only grew when pops lifted his waist band, to show me the glock with hollow points "just in case."

Anyway, we jump in the truckster, ask the dude if he needs a ride. And he accepts. My dad was in the back seat, and this guy gets up front. He is obviously bombed. We shake hands, and he says he was at his brother in law's house, "drank free burr, but den I loant heem ma truck, and he ain't come back. When he see me, I ain't fittin'a' be nice. Only thang I could do is get ta walkin." Dude was gonna walk home, about 12 miles from where my dad's house is, and I have no idea how far he had come already.

Only time I was worried was when he got quiet for a minute, and then leaned my way, not abrubptly, but hard enough that he could have been going for something in his pants or sweatshirt pocket. On the ride back, my dad said that's when he put the gun to the back seat.

Kinda strange, I wonder if buddy has a clue how he got home?

We have much to be thankful for, and this was just a weird way to illustrate that. Needless to say my aunts and uncles, FEMGAR and her parents were all a twitter about what the heck just happened. I told FEMGAR "I just do what Jim tells me." and I left out the fact that he had a hand cannon.

Sen. mighty fine Christian thing to do. Givin' the feller a ride home and all! Probably saved his ass from further trouble down the road. Bein' as drunk as he was coulda been hit by a car or something.

That's what we were worried about. And he probably would have. When we were driving back, we passed to 18 wheelers, and I had a vision of that dude either dead or passed out in a ditch, and then maybe freezing to death.

I'm glad he got home safe and warm, It was just a pretty interesting happening, and if had been anyone but my dad, it woulda been scary.

This woman who grewup with my dad and uncles back in the day, was totally hitting on me yesterday...

Unfort, she is 47, but could d EASILY pass for 37. and she was attractive.

but she also finally confessed that she had a crush on ymdad back in the day.. he was 10 years older then her...

totally weird, but for a while i was thinking...what if....

Strange happenings? Passing up homemade pear/cranberry pie and going to bed at 9pm pretty much fits the "strange" bill for me.

This entire anecdote is written for the movies. Late night in Alabama, drunken stranger, loaded Glock with hollow points, father and guiness fueled son, the holidays. The shit practically writes itself. Bad ass, it is.

At first I thought she was being friendly....

But as the day progressed, it got a bit weirder... I am prettuy sure I saw one of my uncles give me a 'go for it' wink.

but i didn't.. not in frot of my grandparents...couldnt be done.

and yes, she could have EASILY passed for 37, wqhich would technically only be 4 years older then me. but alas, its 14 years differentce, and not in the direction I'd prefer.....Me and Hef...we like or 19 year olds...LOL

Agree, you could have worked something out getting the two of you alone and out of company's way. If she was into you, she would have made it known then, hot horny older woman do not have the trepidation or uncertainty of their daughters, god bless it.

You do realize, had Scotty D been in your shoes, he would have made an interstate killing spree of this - killed the drifter, stowed him in the trunk, sallied on to Texas, and done the business you suggested (in jest) in Colin's thread... Correct? All bodies would have been buried in Mexico.

Let THEM handle the aftermath.

Shoulda done it and chalked it up to furthering your education. Do it for a semester or two and make you both happy and less horny, NSA, and at the end you'd have an advanced degree in copulation, fornication, etc. etc., etc.

Dr. SSD! Yessiree! Get it now while the goin' is good.

Scotty D isnt really a "murder" kind of dude. He's more into doing things like going outside, finding a brick, and then skulling someone with it. Or, after dropping a guy, throwing encyclopedias at him.

He is more into beatdowns with flair.

Brain-damange, brain-death - same difference.

Just ask Terri Schiavo... when you're ten feet tall.
