Yeah yeah, rub it in. What really gets me is no stuffing sandwiches. Ever do that? two peices of wheat toast with some american cheese and stuffing smashed in between? That's some good shit.

OK a very well-seasoned bread sandwich with turkey undertones.

I have a hangover. It's Guinness for breakfast for me (2 days and counting)

Having said that, though - I have to think that Ella's might be even better late-nite just-off-campus grubbing.

But that's prolly the only respect in which the UW tops Marquette.

Catholic pride.

FEMGAR's parents are openly horrified, but they know that dudes like Big Jim OPERATE out on a level they CANNOT COMPREHEND, so they just smile and nod. I am sure they will need counseling.

You kknow Gar, I have been to Ella's a couple of times and although the food was ok I found it nothing to write home about. Bad excuse for a NY deli. The couple of times I ate there the food was oversalted.

And another thing. There are damn few places in Madison to get quality breakfasts. that isn't some chi-chi joint. So far only found three...

The curve
Fair Oaks Diner
Lazy Janes (borders on chi-chi but the best potatoes!)

That's almost a cafe latte or cappucino, no?

... I just had a regular "fair trade blend" from Stone Creek and a raspberry biscuit.

Very good.

(Stone Creek has best coffee in Milwaukee. Alterra is better for pastry, though. And (surprisingly (well, to the anti-corporatists on this board (*coughborgandscottycashcough*), anyway)) Starbucks has the best seasonal specials.)

Totally. They had so much fucking food at the gf's dad's house and what did the stepmonster offer me? SALAD! I was appalled. In the truck on the way home, the following convo:

Me: She offered me salad! Why not some turkey? That turkey rocked.
gf: I never take leftovers anyways....
Me: Whatever. My mom would have loaded us down...[/snarky]

Yes, I am that big of an a-hole in real life.
