Does anyone have anything good to say about this movie? I'm being coerced into seeing it later tonight and I want some sort of reassurance that I'll make it out without killing myself.

why would you pay 10 bucks to see this. i assume the plot goes something like this

*it's high school, dude is fat and pines after his best female friend, but she wants to be just friends
*fast forward 5-10 years, dude has amazingly shed all of his pounds, makes a lot of money and is a chick magnet!
*dude runs into best female friend from high school, old emotions creep back in, he works to win her heart
*INSERT HILARIOUS COMEDIC HIJINKS HERE
*dude wins girl's heart, they make whoopee, roll credits.

you might as well just give me your 10 bucks

It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Some of my major complaints were that Reynolds overacted half the time and the editing was very suspect overall.

How the hell can editing be suspect in a movie...note movie, like this? Do they mean story?

It was really bad. It's like the producers had 2 1/2 hours worth of footage and they chopped up a bunch of meaningless skits and pasted them randomly throughout the movie.
