Yeah but isn't it customary in Australia...and in yr NZ area too to be able to take 1 month+ long vacations?

About halfway through November - 1st of March is our summer holiday. Christmas and holidays also falls in this, so we get a massive holiday before the start of next year.

I always end up doing the same thing on my days off. Always a sore point with me, makes me feel like I really don't have the day off.
