After considering Pavement, Stereolab and Beck, I'm still going with Wilco. It's a damn fine album, not my favourite, but still great.

I voted for 69 Love Songs and by the way, nobody has mentioned "Running With Scissors" by Weird Al Yankovic.

I really like all of the above. These ones not so much (but they're still worth a mention):

Aimee Mann Magnolia (OST)
Beulah When Your Heartstrings Break
Richard Thompson Mock Tudor
David Gray White Ladder
Ben Folds Five Unauthorized Biography of Reinhold Messner

Summerteeth might be my fave Wilco album, but I've gotta vote for other. IMO Macy Gray ruled that year, with Moby not too far behind.

Easy choice for me---The Soft Bulletin.

Wilco is probably a distant 2nd.

i'm too lazy to find a rap album, i'll go with summerteeth.

i love the songs on the album, but think it's production is terrible and hard to listen to.

Wow, I've only heard like 5 albums from 1999. It was either a really crappy year or had a bad taste back then.

Fiona Apple - When The Pawn Hits the Conflicts He Thinks Like A King What He Knows Throws the Blows When He Goes to the Fight and He'll Win The Whole Thing 'Fore He Enters the Ring There's No Body to batter When Your Mind Is Your Might So When You Go Solo, You Hold Your Own Hand And Remember That Depth Is The Greatest Of Heights And If You Know Where You Stand, Then You Know Where To Land And If You Fall It Won't Matter, Cuz You'll Know That You're Right

I guess the Flaming Lips is ok, but i'd prob go with Godspeed's EP or ODB's Nigga Please. 1999 really sucked though i guess.
