You people are assholes.

Every member of my friends and family can borrow my cds no questions asked, no speeches given and no deadline date for return (unless I just bought it). Even if for some reason it gets some nicks and bruises on it, I really don't give a shit. Friends and family are worth more than fifteen bucks worth of plastic.
Well, maybe your family and friends, but most of mine are assholes.

But yeah, I have to agree with two points:

No-one is interested in most of my CD's.
Those that are, get burned copies; that way, I don't have to worry, and it's not a problem.

You've never met my family. As for my friends, most of them already have or at least have heard the stuff I own. Maybe you have money to throw away, but I don't. I work hard for what I have and I have every right to get miffed if it gets damaged.

And, I can't trade in my family for store credit at CD Warehouse. I know, I've tried...

I can't think of the last time anyone's asked me to borrow a cd. The way it works is this:

1. I borrow Busty's cd's and return them 2 years later, or
2. Bloor gives me a rare, cool (to me), old cd when I visit him, then I forget it, and he mails it to me at his expense.

I got a good system goin'.
