I hereby resurrect this thread. Can you clear this up for me, Beachy? How was your party boat?

you are refering to what was formerly Shark's Bar and has been bought by the guys (NYC people...) who have Blind Tiger and a couple other bars in NYC. They renovated and took out the fish cage and renamed (kinda) it TheTacklebox, original name from the late 70's. Most of the sharks here are Nurse, there are hammerheads and bulls at the blue hole but the meanest thing on the reef out front is barracudas.

I just got some pics onto the computer, so I will post some good bikini shots in an hour or so.
It was a great day, and we all got really drunk (Blue Milk, you wouldn't have enjoyed yourself) Dolphins joined the boat for a while, weather perfect....if only I wasn't so hungover today.

Been there, done that, got the t-shirt. But man am I glad I didn't know there were hammerheads and bull sharks in the hole! I didn't see much life down there. Just the stallagtites, or whatever they're called.

I was stressed enough having to get to depth (100 feet) in less than one minute or have to abort the dive. Saw lots of barracuda on other dive sites. I can't believe no one has done a horror flick on barracudas. They are so evil looking.

Did you ever hear the urban myth about a rich lady who was splashing her hand over the edge of a boat and the barracuda was attracted to her diamond rings and bracelet and leaped up and bit off her entire hand? You wouldn't believe how many tour operators warn about that.

How long have you lived on Ambergris? Do you have citizenship there? I spent my time on Caye Caulker mostly at the lovely Rainbow Motel.

I'd love to see some pictures! Dolphins! Bikinis! I need a vacation!
