Though I really don’t like them anymore.

Ditto. God, that was a good album. Too bad that well was so shallow.

EDIT: Whoops--I forgot Olivia Tremor Control--Black Foliage came out that year. OTC #1, S-K #2.

Had a hard time trying to pick between '69 Love Songs' and 'Emergency & I'. Finally went with E&I because of how much play I gave it, and how much it effected me that year. I wasn't into Wilco until about a year later, so Summerteeth while super great in my mind wasn't even a blip on my radar in 99. '69 Love Songs' was a great soundtrack for me as well, although Merritt and co. have since worn a little thin with me.

Several years ago, when we all did our favorites by year, I said Emergency & I by a hair over Keep It Like A Secret. As noted above, today I voted 69 Love Songs. How times change.

Yeah earlier today we did this poll where I voted Soft Bulletin and now I'm kinda thinking Eureka would have been the right pick ;)

They do. Its hard to think back that far, even though it was only 6 yrs. My musical tastes and world have opened so far--which at the time I thought were at the height...pshaw!

Damn. This would be my #1 by far. I forgot this was a '99 release.

I can't believe Summerteeth is the leader of this.
