This is the best hip hop album I've heard in a while. YSI coming up in a bit. I had heard other stuff from someone in the group and completely was not expecting this but it's a brilliant record that will wallow entirely in obscurity. The beats are largely atmospheric and some piano stuff, sort of dark, and the album's lyrics aren't straight thug stuff, but it's not whiney emotional stuff you'd expect from it. It's really bizarre, but ultimately accessible and great.

Here. this song has a pretty cool beat, generally is upbeat compared to the rest of the album. Beat kind of reminds me of Joy Division.

these two songs flow into each other pretty well. some pretty haunting backup vocals.

Good. I really haven't been blown away by an album like I have by this one in a long time. It's a record that really is hard to get an idea of with the tracks seperate but I picked some of the best so I hope you dig it. It's weird to think this was made a couple miles from my house.

didn't listen to it today, listened to that dark side of the gooom mix that chase hooked me up with. i think i'm going to have to start taking my ac adapter for my iriver to work since the battery life is quickly going down.

i lost my fucking headphones over hte weekend and still haven't had a chance to listen to ANYTHING i've picked up in the past 4 days

The "Suicide Prevention" album by O.L. is seriously one of THE BEST, most unique albums I have heard in a looooooong time. It balances darkness and light perefctly and I personally think the female(s) on the album are extra dope themselves. Golda's singing on Prevention/Nightmare is crazy dope, a bit scary, but super dope. The beats are totally unusual and atypical, which can sometimes throw people off, but when your ready for this for real, it gets you deep. Qwa and Hellsent are ridiculous on the mic, talk about innovative... I'm glad to see that others are feeling it like I am!
