I'm taking major time off and can't wait to do so. At least the Xmas parties are starting to get cranked up. This Friday is my last party-free one until about Xmas. Every other one is spoken for. At least I'll be able to make an ass out myself in front of a whole new crowd. That's the up part of changing towns.

And all my co-workers are 22-24 years old. Young folks be gettin' silly drunk.

I'm really backed up. I probably have enough on my desk for five weeks and I just don't care.

I pretty much hate you. After somehow scamming 2+ weeks every year since college, I am having to negrotiate getting the week between Christmas and New Years off...and that's IT until November of next year.

A huge CON that was a large deciding factor in my not staying in politics. I never would've been able to take the trip I just took. At least not while on a gig. I'm sure I could've taken it once I was twisting in the wind for 2 months after election day.

I feel ya mang.

So damn crabby about having to be at work right now.

I start a new job next week but am working my last week at my two current part-time jobs... so I'm supposed to be finishing things up...but have absolutely no motivation.

At one job they decided to just "incorporate" my going away dinner with the x-mas party. Of course it's on a week night and only starts at 10pm. So lame.

Gosh, am I ever crabby. Sorry kids. :?

Yes. Motivation to get real job is rising.
But real job might mean real work, soooooooooo.....

I used to love when I was in the Air Force and they'd just give you a week off for Xmas or New Years and you didn't have to use leave time. Of course, you couldn't go home or take a trip either.

yup, i'm on the same boat. just came to the full conclusion (although i knew this subconsciously) that i absolutely DESPISE my job. things are looking up for the new prospect at least.

and i'm dreading that i have to have a "talk" with one of our assistants about stepping up her game because mgmt. ain't having it and the broad does not take me seriously at all. i told her, we need to go over a few things at 4. then she has the nerve to tell me, "exactly how long is this going to take? i have blahblahblah to do." UGH. if only i could bitchslap some of my co-workers....
