If you could identify each poster on this board with only ONE band, who would it be?

The catch: It cannot be their own (or their spouse's).

For instance, I would go:

Frostingspoon: Kate Bush
konstantinl: Orange Juice
robotboy: Guided By Voices
Charli: Wilco
Spade Kitty: David Bowie
Billy G: Caetano Veloso
FT: Spoon
dridiculous: Radiohead
Spontaneous Poet: matchbox 20
timmyjoe: Collective Soul
LOOGAR: Rolling Stones
Radcliffe: Nick Lowe
Prince Of Darkness: Beatles
OPA!: Le tigre
Haq: Elliott Smith

etc.
etc.

This will either sink or swim.

Here are the Top 35 posters for you (by total posts):
Elvis Fu
Au'Tannybaum
Sen.LooGAR'sCrunkmas
Sweet Talking Spoon Song
cotton
Yule Bloor
Joseph P. Crack
Dalen
shiv

These are easy--

Sen.LooGAR'sCrunkmas: Stones
Yule Bloor: Stones
FT®: Spoon
SweetSweetDruganaut: Afghan Whigs

Um. With the 28934739 name changes, I kinda forget who the others are and I guess I need to start paying attention more. Oops.

I'm gonna say Prince Of Darkness = Beatles.

are we just naming their favorite bands, or are we really trying to find an analogue in the music realm for their personality?

I was actually thinking the one band you most closely associate with each of us.

And feel free to extend beyond the Top 35.
I just didn't have time to keep copying, pasting, and editing out all the crap from the list.

The analogy being,
"When I think of (poster) I think of (first band that comes to mind)."

yes
see, i think that we're underperforming. It's far more interesting to provide some justification for our choices. Par example, you favorite band is probably shrimp boat or something, but i don't know anything about them. I do know that you're jewish, a guitar player with a flair for the hammond organ and some powerpop, and there's a small bit of your brain missing. What band conjours up that image? this is like finding the right hallmark card, much more difficult.
