Have an open bay? I think you can get one pretty cheap and it should be easy to install.

There's another concern that if your computer is old enough to have not come with a DVD drive, it might be outdated in other regards that may also affect your ability to run the game.

no, it's a brand new dell from 2003 with all the other requirements, but the barebones cheapie version didn't have a DVD player.
