I just purchased tickets to the Pitchfork show on December 30th at the Viaduct Theatre in Chicago. 400 Capacity venue. Should be a fucking blast!

The sight of these two names together made me think of a wonderful collaboration ... these two names working together.

Fucking lame overall.

So how does Diplo do his shows these days? Is he using that Scratch Live program?? He had two "records" on the turntables and he was constantly fucking with his Powerbook. He never put new wax on the turntables. So everything is just queued on his laptop and he fucks with the knobs? Correct me if I'm wrong, but this is lame? Though I should just enjoy the music, right?

Are you telling me The Books weren't up to par either? I recently bought tickets and am hoping not to be disappointed.

You should just dance. Diplo moves around so much that it makes no sense for him to carry a bunch of wax around. If you can let go, it's just as legit as any other DJ set.

The Books were great when I saw them.

I dug a lot of Diplo's music last night, but eventually some of that Southern hip hop got annoying. Last time I saw him in the spring he was dropping way more variety. He even played Sergio Mendes back then!

I think the crowd enjoyed the Books. I'm not into mellow music live.

The Books sometimes come up on my winamp and I check it to see if any music is actually playing.

I saw Diplo a year ago.
Excellent show.

I would love to see the books.
