@ Mid East Downstairs.

Mazarin dropped out at the last minute, so Apollo Sunshine's filling in.

Hey we finished mixing our album.

Whoa. Great show. I wish I could make it.

I'm convinced. Rogue Wave is the best pop band today.

I saw your Myspace announcment and really wanted to go, but couldn't rope anyone into going with me. And I'd need that because I don't have a car. I suck so bad.

Yeah.
That is a very cool bill.
Wish I could go to Boston for the night.

Sorry you can't make the trip down - been there, done that with the automotive problem.

Time was money TJ. We ended up working with an outside producer to finish things up for real (this guy). If you follow the link, you'll see that we're quite serious about this.

Why do I say what? They're a bunch of hilarious goofballs, but with talent!

Show was alright - kinda weird energy in the room, but that's typical mid-week Boston for ya...

I was just wondering why you thought they were a trip. What do you mean by weird energy? Nobody getting into it? I really want to see Apollo Sunshine.

No, folks were into it - Boston's just kinda known for having very "stationary" audience response, particulary on weeknights. I've never understood this - even Dismemberment Plan or Les Savy Fav shows would sometimes get these oddly tepid crowd responses in the past, whereas you could move the whole show to Providence or Northampton and get entirely different results.

Trip - the Rogue Wave fellas are just a bunch of funny, loose and genuinely nice guys. It was a welcome change of pace from a lot of indie acts, who often times seem to forget to have fun..

Nice guys too.
I played a show with them here in Chicago (solo) a couple of years ago.

Nobody showed up.
They missed a helluva show.
