Lake Trout. Now give us a hug.

I would have said Boards of Canada or Swervedriver, but yeah, I've been whoring out LT for a good 4 years now. They new record might not even make it to my Top 20 for the year.

Where's my hug, shorty? Watch for a PM later this evening - I think you might have answers to a couple WMA questions I have.

Hehe, I obviously need to post more ;)

I do like Hum and did a thread about them, but I'm generally more into the mathier and less polished, and indier side of that era. More Pavement and Yo La Tengo than Hum. But Shack is right on. Love that slightly melancholy Britpop, as long as there aren't any Gallagher brothers involved.

Califone is probably what I would say for myself over the last few years if it had to be just one. Or this year it would be Andrew Bird. I've been slumming that one everywhere I go. Probably borderline obnoxious, even :)

ohh it's not what your favourite bands are or anything, it's just what reminds me. back_space said Engineers for me, even though im not a huge huge fan, I did start that thread, and that's why I guess he linked that band to me. It's the same with you and Hum or Shack

Bobby Brown pretty much nails it.

I'll never make the list. I only post about music about half the time, the rest is sports and politics. The two things I need my music to relax to after being inundated by both.

When I read his posts only one artist comes to mind:

Radcliffe - Lou Reed

Brilliant posts intermingled with curmudgeonly remarks. Although given Rad's feelings about Lou today, I'm not sure if it will be taken as a compliment. But I mean as such, because I hold Lou in the highest esteem.

I'll take DFA1979 and Iron & Wine . . . nice, soothing combination.
