"Since U Been Gone" is a good one, though.

Totally - didn't realise that was from this year...
and I have a general aversion to Jamie Foxx and Kanye West but, for some reason, that song does it for me...

I was listening to this pretty loud this morning. Am I the only person who liked this album?

Three songs: for real, black, the latest toughs, are as good as any songs written all year, but the rest is just too downbeat for me. This record will never approach "Down The River Of Broken Dreams", IMHO. That one is excellent, start to finish.

Thank you! I've had the tiniest bit of this song stuck in my head for two days now and I knew I should have known exactly who it was, but it didn't click until I read this.

So I suppose that would be one of my choices.

sister jack is amazingly good. but solely on the criteria of a song that lodges itself in your head and refuses to leave no matter how much other stuff you listen to, i've got to go with:

shit is bananas.

This song is permanently stuck in my head thanks to "Friday Night Karaoke" at the bar.

What? Someone else wrote a song with a Stevie Nicks reference in the title? (Calexico did so recently on Feast of Wire.)

What A wonderful Man - MMJ

also:
Rough Justice - Rolling Stones
A History of Lovers - Cal/I&W (so sing songy, it lodges itself into your brain)

okay....
Has anyone mentioned "Let It Ride" by Ryan Adams? catchy as hell.

Havent really been able to get into the whole album, but "Sixteen Military Wives" by the Decemberists is super catchy as well......
