Mine too, not sure who's going up and who's heading down, both seem to be pretty low at this point in their careers.

Scott Stapp as a trained boxer is the best part of this story.

Look at these song titles for Scott's album:

1. Ruboff in a Men's Spa
2. I heart Jesus, and so should you
3. Wait, arent I a Scientologist?
4. Footprints
5. Let Me Go Cry Somewhere
6. I'm more popular than Michael Jackson! Wait, I'm Not?
7. Christian Rock Festival!
8. Sublime Was a Band I Like
9. You Will Soar
10. My Broken Career

Why couldn't this episode end in somebody's untimely death?

I still respect these guys for what they did in the beginning of their career. Back in the day these guys were my Self, so I'll have to admit that I still kind of like them. I've pretty much ignored them the last five years though. Sketch is right though. Durst came around way later than 311. Great story.

Just wanted to chime in that, yes, their first three albums are great.

I still get some joy out of the first two. Mostly nostalgic, really.

Anything after the third totally takes two bags of oranges.

This shit had me rolling on the floor, btw.

I'm still trying to figure out if this is true. There's all sorts of shit on the 311 sites/message boards saying that folks are trying to keep it hush hush. But nowhere else yet. Not exactly cnn.com material I guess. But you'd think there'd be something else about it....on mtv.com or something.....

yeah......I was fairly drunk last night and in retrospect this question may have hurt my cred (not creed) a bit...oops. Well, We all have our moments, at least for me this one is on the internet where it doesn't matter.

Anybody who even tries to punch Stapp is a hero in my book. That guy is such a tool. Yeah, he's really living that Christian lifestyle, ain't he? Fucking hypocrite.

I still think the whole Stapp/David Cross confrontation was funnier.

Cross and Stapp @ Celebrity Poker:

Stapp: Thanks for the jokes.

Cross: Yeah, well...

Classic.

well i can verify it definitely was not published anywhere in the associated press for the last month. i just did a search on lexis/nexis and came up with nothing. methinks this may be an internet rumor.
