I heard 3 weeks, but a 5 week layoff wouldn't surprise me. That sucks because after a couple of (relatively) weaker episodes, it sprung back to stellar.

What was up with Kate's backstory? I wasn't really paying attention from the begining. If she wasn't supposed to know that guy was her father, who was she supposed to think he was? Step-father?

Three weeks to see what becomes of Michael's little IM chat? Damn.

Yeah I think he was her stepfather, though I'm not sure if it was ever mentioned that her mom and him were married.

I guess I expected it to be a long time due to the holidays, but sweet sassy molassey. That'll be a good week for tv since 24 starts Jan 9, though. Oh, and the new Heather Graham dramedy.

Best episode of the year in my opinion. They brought back the Jack vs. Sawyer for Kate aspect and built a lot of suspense between Michael using the computer for something other than the code and Locke/Echo discovering the tape.

My roommate said that they were originally going to air the Island's background story next week but decided to make last night's the cliff-hanger before the holiday break. He says the episode about the island is in the can so they'll probably air it later in the season. Not sure what his source is but it sounds like an interesting episode.

I have a funny feeling that the other end of the computer is not Walt.

Also, the guy Kate killed was her biological father. He knocked her mom up while "real" day was in Korea? (though that should make Kate much older). She explained why she killed him.

Last year they were supposed to go on a 5 week hiatus, starting in December, but popular demand was so high, they came back in 3.
