I just found out from the KEXP playlist about your loss. My thoughts are with you and your family.

I think that was John of "John In The Morning". Richards, I think his last name is.

If he's reading this, my sympathies to DJ Dan and his family as well.

For those who haven't heard - this came from the KEXP playlist email

Our hearts go out to DJ Dan who's brother Jim,
who has been in Iraq for
the past 14 months, was murdered on Wednesday,
the day before
Thanksgiving. He only had six days left before he
was returning home to be
with Dan and his family for good.

My name is Dan. I'm a DJ in Annapolis, Maryland. I've been posting on the CMJ board for a year or so.

Through mostly e-mails, I became friends with John Richards at KEXP in Seattle. Each day, John sends out his playlist and for the lasts couple of years, he's included my sarcastic remarks on songs I hate as part of his daily message.

My brother Jim was an envoy with the Department of State and he was murdered the day before Thanksgiving in Baghdad.
