I guess no one else has heard this?

Well, I have, and I can confirm that it is in fact catchy in the worst possible way. I heard it ONCE, months ago, and I can still hear it in my head now thanks to this thread. Awful.

I'm still undecided about Gimme Fiction as a whole, but I am sure that Sister Jack is awful. Catchy maybe, but catchy like leprosy. Possibly the worst song in the entire Spoon canon IMO.

Ouch, love Sister Jack so that's hard to hear. To each his/her own I guess.

Okkerville River - Black is up there for me as well in this category.

Forgot about Kaiser Chiefs. Yeah, I actually thought "Oh My God" and "I Predict a Riot" were catchy songs.

As far as Spoon's "Sister Jack," it's OK.

These are all great songs, and catchy (to a degree)... but catchier than M'F'in Gold Digger, Since You've Been Gone, or even Hollaback Girl?

No way, no how... If these sopngs were that catchy, they'd play them in the clubs. On the regular.

Regardless of what you think of "clubs", "dancing", or "popular music" in the first place (not a fan of most of it), these songs are DAMN catchy...

I mean, I hate that "My Humps" song, but it gets stuck in my head more often than anything off the Superwolf album... and I've heard that song 3x max, as opposed to the dozens of times I've listened to Superwolf this year...

Has anyone mentioned "Let It Ride" by Ryan Adams? catchy as hell.

Havent really been able to get into the whole album, but "Sixteen Military Wives" by the Decemberists is super catchy as well......

Two that also made it on my Best of 2005 mix but I forgot to add.

And how the hell is clap your hands say yeah catchy? I mean, i don't care if you like them (i don't), but they definitely are not catchy. You can't tell me you whistle the tune to that song while walking down the street.

I'd second this one and also Bloc Party's Banquet because it did come out this year.

Banquet was on the Bloc Party EP which came out in fall 2004, but as it was on the "Silent Alarm" release in 2005, I'm counting it as this year too.
