Well, I can't really have a party, because I live in the suburbs and no one would come, but I think it would be cool if we could have a 2004 release listening party at the end of the year or the beginning of the following year.

Basically, the idea... we'd take one song from every 2004 release and make several mix cds. We'd determine the songs on the most popular releases by vote. I think it would be a cool way to get up to speed on everything you missed.

We could even broadcast it on the internet

Maybe this is just too geeky

Oh I was teasing.

Actually no I think it was quite inventive and I'm sure after the rest of the chicago peeps wake up from their decaf slumbers in worksville they will chime in also.

But seriously, will it then look something like this Matt?

I bet we could stream this, but it would require a lot of work compiling mp3's and then we need someone to host it.

Aaron, is this something that could be hosted from obner? or is that asking for way too much bandwidth? Is there a way to redirect stuff that is playing on a remote computer to a server that can be listened to by a bunch of people? I'd hate to have to upload hundreds of tunes to the obner server for this to happen.

i think you're honestly like the tenth person to say that to me about portland in the last week. and it's making me all the more wary of the place.

I thought you lived in Wicker Park. I guess I'm a crackhead (a crackhead who has only hung out with you 2 times, so I can't really be expected to know the intimate details of your life).

If G.A.S. ever released "Science Teacher" as a single, this has *got* to be the cover.
