Both shows next Tues in NYC

I&W/Calexico at Bowery, $25
The Lovemakers, She Wants Revenge, Rock Kills Kid at Mercury Lounge, $10

Leaning toward SWR (not familiar with other bands), mainly because I am expecting it to be a higher energy show, and the $15 saved should get me 2 beers. Downloading I&W/C live set from NPR ASC to get a taste of it.

Certainly willing to listen to Obner advice though.

wanna get your groove on? go see she wants revenge. local band from la... they've been getting hyped up lately. what to expect? frontman has ian curtis mannerisms (you can definitely tell where they're influences are from) and has a stage persona that suits him well on stage. great energy.

iron & wine, never seen live... but i anticipate a mellow show.
