6 of them. Yo, I'm like festive and shit.

Did you put lights up this year?

Do you have a manger with the baby jesus in it? The guy down my block does.

mmmm candy canes.

No lights out. Not allowed to do it on our balcony. Which is fine with me since the thing scares me.

But our tree is up. And our cats keep sleeping under it on the new tree skirt I bought. It's adorable, especially when they curl up together under the tree.

Same here but I'll bet he doesn't know the real reason for Christmas.

It's about getting presents.

My favorite is the motifs with santa looking down at baby jesus, and all the reindeer standing around watching. Might as well through in a martian or something.

a good chunk of my Saturday was spent putting up lights...nothing too big, just some red lights around the perimeter of the roof...then there's some of those wire, light-up deer that move all slow and creepily

Got lights strung up through the inside of the house. We don't really have a lot of room for a tree, so it's lights and tinsel mainly. It's festive and kind of like a nightclub in here.

Tomorrow I will get this done, there are lights up everywhere. I predict regular power outages to begin summarily.

I wish I could put up neon lights and make my front yard look like a fuckin' Christmas disco. Right now, I've got diddly squat up.

Yeah. I bought like a nine foot tall tree today, wrapped the columns in garland, and, if not for a miscalculation on my part, would have lights on the porch.

I hate this shit but it makes the normal people happy SO I'M IN!!!!! :D

My flat looks like a Mogadishu slum right now, what with the ceiling collapse and the carpets ripped out.

I don't think a christmas tree is going to make much difference.

I've got a little 2-foot tree my parents gave me, with lights and ornaments (about five of 'em.) My landlord is vehemently opposed to lights on the house or even the balcony where my apt. is. Lame.

I met someone the other day that actually wa a real atheist. She doesn't celebrate Xmas or anything. I think she's the first I've ever met with that kind of conviction.

not yet. but i really should.
i am so not feeling very christmasy yet.

i will likely decorate more here at work. i'm planning on bringing in a little tree. and possibly even stringing lights up around my windows.

at home.... i think i'm actually going to put up a big tree this year. (fake.) my youngest cat, marley, will likely knock it over at least once. (i HOPE only once.)

...or. i may do nothing at all.

depends on which way the wind blows.
i'm really tough to nail down.

Festive hair is a cut above rest

A south Wales bus driver has spruced himself up for Christmas by having a mini fir tree woven into his hair.

Thirty-one-year-old Mark Davis, from Pontypool, has even hung fairy lights from his head.

Good-humoured managers have allowed him to carry on driving his double-decker bus while sporting the eye-catching artificial tree.

The father-of-two said: "I've had a few wacky hairdos before, but this one is head and shoulders above the rest."

"It gives everyone a lift - especially if they get on my bus on their way to do their Christmas shopping."

The bus driver spent two-and-a-half hours in a local hair salon having his hair dyed red and having a holly design shaved into it.

Then the mini Christmas tree was delicately woven into his hair before the lights were added.

The festive hairstyle is the latest in a long line of unusual hair cuts for Mark.

In the past he sported a dartboard design, a Playboy bunny, and Welsh dragon.

He added: "It gives everyone a laugh and kids love it.

"I wanted to go overboard this year and it's great fun.

"The attitude of people to it is amazing."

But Mark added that having a Christmas tree permanently perched on top of his head presented some problems.

He said: "It's very difficult to sleep with it.

"I have to sleep at the end of the bed so it doesn't get stuck to the headboard."

put up white icicle lights around the front porch this weekend
little plug-in white candle lights in the upstairs and side windows
live potted tree on the porch with white lights on it-- when it gets closer to December 25, we'll move the tree inside, and that will be our Christmas tree.
