I mean the ones that have been universally panned by critics and that you'd be hard-pressed to find any sensible human being that would call it a "Good" film.

But you enjoyed the shit out of it nonetheless.
And.. why did you enjoy it/them?

Cabin Boy -- Hillarious, ridiculous. And, boy was I stoned when I saw that.

Dr. Caligari - Not to be confused with the German expressionist classic; this was a hackneyed faux-art school mess. Bit one that made fun of all the Art House affectations. And it had some of the funniest moments. And, boy was I stoned when I saw that.

Showgirls - Obviously a piece of trash. But it works as an ironic viewing experience. Perhaps the ultimate hipster guilty pleasure. Plus, extensive female nudity is always a good thing.

Bad movies that I enjoyed?

The Great Outdoors -- the whole out of breath "Bear... big bear" gets me everytime. As well as the 96 oz. steak dinner.

Happy Gilmore

The Warriors - now this is a cult favorite, but I don't think it was a critical smash hit. I will never look at anyone picking up empty bottles with their fingers the same way again.

Oh, and I have a friend who is very knowledgeable about films (he is to movies what we all are to music) who absoloutely ADORES, Hudson Hawk.

That one I'll never understand.

Must watch Roadhouse every time it's on. Oh, and that movie where Jon Cryer goes back to high school because he's hiding from the mob. Excellent stuff.

I LOVE that movie.

But I think it actually got some pretty good reviews. I remember Ebert liking it, I think.

I came here to chew bubblegum and kick ass... and I'm all out of bubblegum.

Fucking classic!

My favorite little tid bit of trivia about that is Janusz Kaminski shot it. He's also done every Spielberg since Schindler's List.

I second Cabin Boy & add Clifford

Great movie. That ten minute no-music no-dialogue fight scenes is one of the most unintentionally hilarious things in movie history. "Oh it's Rowdy Roddy...we gotta have a fight scene and it has to go on entirely much too long"

i love the movie to death....i just "thought" that most people would classify it as bad - ie the over-the-top fight scene - etc etc...

then i went imdb and i was shocked to see it's rating.....

so classic i decided to use that quote in my sig

oh yeah - piper freakin rules

I'm a flag-waving fan of Hudson Hawk; pure suspension of disbelief and escapism. A female friend of mine was dating a complete tool for a couple years and his love of this movie and The Clash were the only things we could talk about comfortably.

Also:
Con Air
