Don't be an ass. I like these threads better than most of the other ones we've got right now, even if Bee's choices have been a little weak so far.

If you want, though, I could start a "WOW 1506!!!!" thread, or another parody/dup thread of some kind.

If you wanna start some threads about what you feel are the best albums of this year, go right ahead. Educate us.

I think I'm just echoing what most have said: liked the first a lot, don't like this 'un hardly at all. I do, however, enjoy the weird live album the released last month. Of course, nothing from Frances is on there . . .

I actually kinda dug it, and I don't care if it tarnishes what little cred I have here. It certainly isn't for everyone, but definitely not the bomb people are calling it.

EDIT--not that this matters worth anything, but AMG gave it 4.5 stars. Kinda interesting. Just noticed that.

Yes, right now I’m picking albums that aren’t talked about that often. If you have suggestions than PM me with those and I will go with that, like I said in my original idea post.

But most of the ones picked were talked about at great length when they were released. Most of the discussion revolved about how disappointing they were. People don't talk about them now because they decided they didn't like it in the first place. I like your idea, Deon, but so far you confirmed people's fears about it that it's just been re-hash. You could argue that's appropriate for year-in-review, but I think more people would be interested in stuff they possibly missed rather than releases they already know they (don't) like.

Albums that I don't remember ever excessive hype on include Vashti Bunyan, The Earlies, Buck 65, Six Organs of Admittance, the Lucksmiths, and Portastatic. You might be sneak in stuff like Ry Cooder, Richard Hawley, Mice Parade, and The Go! Team without too much objection.
