Robin Freakin' Zander!!!

Now that man can sing.
Probably the closest approximation to Freddie that anyone will find, given the chance to put it into that context: Great range. Great power. Just awesome.

Andy Sturmer from Jellyfish, who have a serious Queen fixation, or the dude from Muse.

Those are my picks, and i like Zander, but those two would have been better yet.

Lemmy.

just imagine how surly he would be up there, in those puffy wings and short shorts.

The guy from Keane sounds a lot like Freddie sometimes but Freddie can't be replaced. Especially not by Paul Rogers.

Nobody.

I'd never want him replaced, he's one of a kind. Besides, I hate when bands play Musical vocalists when their lead singer leaves/dies.

It's stupid as hell.

That would have been very interesting, but no.

Queen died with Freddie.

Paul Rogers can sing at least.

That being said: While I am normally not opposed to a massive cash grab---this shit is wrong. Not only, as Busty said, did Queen die with Freddie, Queen was Freddie Mercury. Its like if Bob Dylan died and Conor Oberst sudeenly went on tour as "BOB DYLAN".....

I would also go to the show if given free tickets.

Not really a fan of Queen or Freddie Mercury, but it seems pretty retarded to replace him. It also seems pretty retarded for that other dude in Queen to keep that same hair style.

I'm not disagreeing. I'm not even saying I would go and see that if it happened, I wouldn't. And my love of both Queen and Jellyfish is well documented, and that love is what would keep from going to see it.

But it would be better for the schlubs who would over Paul Rodgers.

Purely academic speculation.

Future Obner meet-up at Ziggie's (diner near the Marquette campus)?... They do have beer-battered chix strips....
