juicebox has a disconcerting "Weezer - Hashpipe" quality to it.

there's nothing wrong with hashpipe, just the rest of the entire friggin album

i never said there was anything wrong with hashpipe. I was implying that there was something wrong with the Strokes making songs that sound like hashpipe.

I think I've listened to this 5-6 times since yesterday, and it keeps revealing itself. Great review Dumpjack, I'm glad you can dig Room on Fire, and I am glad someone around can hear that they are progressing their sound, just not in the ways people around here seem to demand.

Yeah, I'm the first to admit I was wrong about Room on Fire. It was probably the bad meds. It fucks with yr sense of adrenaline, you know? Anyway, I woke up this morning with 'What Ever Happened?' in my head. It's a good thing. I'm spinning the new one some more today. Like you said, it keeps revealing itself.
