Been way too long. I still listen to these guys. Now, will Beechwood Sparks ever find themselves back together, I wonder? And, how can either band expand on that California sun/psych folkiness?

Where did they go? I just saw 'em open for another band about a week ago.

You tell me they're in your back yard and zero albums since 2003.
How do they sound live? And is Beechwood sparks finit?

Well, it seems that a lot of the Beachwood Sparks' members belong to other bands now, so I don't really know if it still has a future or not.

Quite a few of my friends don't like The Tyde, I do. I wouldn't call them outstanding but nice music to listen to. If I recall correctly, they did sing new songs at that last show. So, maybe a new album is in the horizon.

I heard they were on a break because the keyboardist had joined the Gwen Stefani Harajuku tour.

Thanks T, I had feared they were just gonna fade away. I like'em as you can see. They have a cool sort of evenness, not innovative, but reliable. Easy listening indie music.

I saw them a couple times in 2003 around Chicago (opening for the Pernice Brothers at the Bottle and with Broken Social Scene at Schubas) and although I love their recorded and live material, that singer is an ass. After both shows, I said hello and just wanted to give a little praise for a good show and he wasn't having any of it.

Still... can't wait to hear some new material.

Since they've broken up?
Main ones =

Mystic Chords of Memory
Frausdots
Tyde
All Night Radio
Indian Jewelry (Amazing, but they're wayyyyy off the BSparks path - used to be known as NTX + Electric)

Tyde took a pretty long break - just started playing shows again a month ago. They'se very, very good to me...
