after a few more listens, i've concluded about half the album is brilliant and the other half is ok. some of these tracks simply kick arse.

I'll Believe in Anything is an asskicker for sure, as is the lead out track.

I'm fully prepared to give up on this album, I really only like about three songs on it. I dunno what it is...most of it just fails to make any kind of lastingi mpression; probably the way a lot of people feel about Arcade Fire. (not me, Funeral has actually held up quite well in my rotation)

Sorry Dri, I know you love it----we can still be friends, right? :wink:

The first three tracks are quite good but then mediocrity abounds.

That 'Apologies to the Queen Mary' is close to the bottom of my Konstantiranks list won't surprise those who noticed my least favourite album of 2004 was 'Good News For People Who Love Bad News' because it's virtually the same band.
