isn't it bad running outside when it's so cold out? i swear I read something where it said it's a no-no. but I'm probably wrong because I don't go running so I really don't know the do's and don'ts

i'll be heading off to the gym whenever the fuck peapod decides to show up.

If you have heart problems, it's bad to do anything cardiovascular in cold weather, but actually otherwise it's much easier on your system because you don't get nearly as dehydrated.

yeah normally you don't just go out and run 10 miles willy nilly.....

first time in 13 years i would start 1-3 miles...then work up.....

Yeah I ran a couple of 5ks last fall. I started back up in October. I've run two 5k races and I run 5.5 miles every monday....this was my first longer run. My legs are really killing me, but the good news is that I get to take off until Wednesday now and let my body heal!

provided i don't have any injuries (last 2 years i have had off and on injuries) next year i will be running my first marathon. i do alot of 5k-10ks every year, but have yet to do a marathon. if i am able to do it i will enter the chicago one, and hope to qualify for the boston race.

i'm working my way there. I run 6 miles tomorrow. I'm running a half marathon for the Houston Marathon.
