Not only are all the schools in my area closed, but my office just called, and I don't have to go to work today!

Free day! :D

Think time diff, Odds(by the way are you new here or just a regular boarder who did a name change, just wondering if I know you since yer a chicagoan).

Sketch is in England so for him saying he's been there five hours is really just him being there since 9 am uk time. And some horrible early hour our time.

A sick day is almost as good as an off day.

But I feel like hell.

i love snow days. i had a couple early last year with as-of-yet-not-even-fiance wifey. work up near 9, called in to work for silly daily meeting, then that was it. near-record snow rules.

Due to global warming Snow days should be phased out and replaced with Wind & Rain days. I can't possible go to work with my hair all over the place, can I?

I am so jealous... I miss snow days!! In my 4 years in San Francisco, there has yet to be weather bad enough to keep anyone home. Damned temperate climate...

Bah... just saw he was from London. As you can see, me being in at 6a has dimmed my bulb a touch. Either that, or I just don't pay attention.

I was/am-sort-of at CMJ under the not-so-original moniker of rudylaw.

What's this thing called "snow" you guys speak of?

It was like 70 degrees all weekend. Only in Southern California you can hit the beach in mid-December.

My life is pretty much a snow day at this point. Without the football playing, sledding, snowball fighting or hot chocolate drinking of my youth.

INstead its me, unshaven, unshowered, bleary-eyed posting on the board and generally fouling up Redlands with my present.

Today's highlight will be going to Atlanta Bread Company for lunch, and then reading Time and Newsweek at Books a Million.

Me need hobby.

Your avatar is fitting, then. :)

The kids and I went sledding earlier, and now we're decorating the christmas tree. The only thing missing is chestnuts roasting on an open fire.

And, I guess, my wife, who was not as fortunate as I, and had to work today.
