Personally I prefer buzzed, but I always end up going sober. ('Cept for tonight).

I'd rather go everywhere buzzed.

if it's something i'm really looking forward to, sober. if it's something i'm not necessarily looking forward to, like going to see roth with a big vh-fanatic friend, i'll drink til the hopps come home.

Buzzed, but I've had a good time tying one on at a few concerts.

buzzed.

it depends on the venue of the show though, there are some venues i don't like drinking at.

I like to shoot smack in the bathroom with the singer before he/she hits the stage...

It really depends on the show and how much I dig the band. The more upbeat/dancy the group performing the more wacked I hope to be BEFORE I walk into the venue. I guess the last show I caught was Rogue Wave and they're lame as fuck live, so I had like one drink before I walked into the Bottle. I actually stayed pretty sober for the Smoking Popes show because I really wanted to remember it and sing along. Though I have tickets for Diplo on the 30th of this month and you can guess if I'm drinking before that...

If it is a small venue/club show, especially here in Lincoln, I like to go about an hour early and get a few drinks in me before the gig starts. If it is a larger Omaha show where I will have to stand in line for quite some time before getting into the venue and then stand for most of the show, I go sober.

If I go buzzed I end up sober, if I go drunk I end up buzzed. Therefore, the first one.

I always go sober but it would be nice to be buzzed now and then.

Usually sober, especially if I have to drive. But if the show is in one of my favourite clubs I usually have a drink or two to support them.

I smoked before Of Montreal. It made it seem like it wasn't as significant as it was to me the first time I saw them. I also got the worst headache of my life and could no longer stand up, and sat down in the middle of the crowd before they went on. My friend got me water and it picked me right up though.

I don't know. I probably wouldn't get that high and go to a concert ever again. But it'd be fun to smoke a little, and maybe I could remember some of what I went through.
I do remember talking about my cats vagina and seeing a poster and thinking noodles were coming out of a persons butt rather than their mouth like it was supposed to be.

Ha, ha.

Pot. The only drug I will ever do. Well, I don't know. Nothing crazy though.

I generally drink a bit, smoke a joint, and then get madly claustrophobic, light-headed, and might faint. It's happened twice at shows. And I've had to remove myself a number of times since learning when that purple fog is oncoming.

That said, I've had no problem finding comfort in another altered state.

Nor have I learned my lesson.

Sober. Beer goes right through me and I miss too much of the show.

C'mon, you gotta try acid at least once. Radiohead, third row center, peaked during "Idioteque", and now I can't see Thom Yorke without remembering him as one of those animated "Hunting Bear" things. [/bad influence]

The $ factor is why I generally try to chug 4 beers in an hour, and then rush there. Buzz settles in, and I don't get too awfully gouged for beers.

Did this once for one of those star wars movies like 6 years ago, except with a taaallll glass of burbon and coke, and by the time the previews were done, I was drunkish. Buuut, by the end, I was starting to sober up pretty good. Had to go see it again - couldn't remember much.
