Not what you think should be #1. What will be #1?

Our Endless Numbered Days made 18 preliminary top 3s (helping paladisiac shop). I think it's a finalist.

Sketch, yeah, Iron & Wine is on my year end. It could surprise.

I still think Dirty South will pull it out.

Iron and Wine made a stong showing in a contest last week. I don't have that one yet but I'm guessing it'll be up there.

I'd wish it would be none of the above, but I have a feeling it's going towards the truckers or arcade fire...

i'm guessing iron & wine as well. probably won't be #1 on many individual lists, but top 5 on a ton.

I will think I'm such a genius if and when Arcade Fire top the list. Who remembers me praising them to you ages ago, saying you all are gonna love this band some day?

Another year of everybody wishing everyone else liked the same bands as them, and being terribly disappointed that they don't.

I think Funeral may snatch it but I think The Dirty South may give it a run for it's money. Which of course is why I voted for it. ha

The Franz Ferdinand love seems to have started dying out over the past couple months.

And I don't know the rest because I've been too poor to buy albums this year, but I haven't heard a lot and a lot of outpourings of love come from this board.

Funeral. It's not my #1, but in my top 5.

I remember.

I voted Arcade Fire, though I think there will be very little vote difference between the top three.

I think Dirty South may pull it out, but wouldn't be surprised if Iron & Wine or Arcade Fire do, either. I think Dirty South just may have more first place votes than any other single release.

I think of last year...The Wrens were easily the most lauded band on the CMJ board. But, while they had a bunch of # 1 votes, the album didn't make the top 20 for a lot of other people. The Shins on the other hand had a couple # 1s, but also 5s and 10s and 15s, all of which added up to the top slot. i'm going with quantity of votes over those #1-or-nothing albums (Funeral, probably the TVOTR disc).

Iron and Wine my friends.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say Smile is going to break the top 10.

I'm still thinking about my list rather than other peoples, but one thing is for certain. The Broken Family Band will be ignored for the third year in a row.

You people disgust me.

Me too. I'm glad to see some others joining the I&W darkhorse as well.
