It's the board's organized version of determining the popular choices for album of the year, and yes -- just watch the thread titles, it'll be pretty obvious.

Hello Pot, let me introduce you to my friend, Kettle.

I'm actually looking forward to this more this year since I haven't been paying as much attention to new music. I'm not sure whether I'm participating or not though. I didn't last year either. I finally have a list of around 20 things that i do like, but can't rank them. I doubt that I'll feel like listening to those 20 enough over the next month to be able to feel comfortable doing so. Still, I'm interested in seeing what others come up with.

Doubt it...they wouldn't slide into my top 20, not even by the skin of my yellow country teeth..I'd say Wolf Parade is a surer bet for #1 status than them, and I'd put down that MMJ record as even surer bet...

It was fun to do it last year - nice to write a "blurb" for the AC Newman album as well - and I wholly endorse we do it again this year...
