so, i'm moving to chicago on sunday afternoon. on saturday morning, the power went out at my home while i was packing. it was off for most of the day. it was also raining. i packed everything by candlelight. then the friend i'm moving with was late coming from new york. so we didn't even start loading the truck until 10:30pm. the wind was bitter. oh, and my stepmother's been to the emergency room twice today for EKGs. i have no idea what's going on with that by now.

and an album that i was sure would be in my top-5 maybe isn't. that was quite disappointing too. what a day... 3am and i'm just about to sleep, only to wake up at 9 and drive 12 hours. fun!

we drove through a snowstorm for part of the 12+ hours and got lost in the city around 1am with a huge moving truck. it was pretty bad. i'm on fumes from being on hardly any sleep. and now it turns out that the locks for my doors are busted, so they're being fixed now as we load and unpack. and my stepmother's apparently still in the hospital and they have no idea what's wrong with her. it might've been a heart attack, but nobody's sure. anyway, i've got a new city now.

Hope your stepmom is okay. That sounds rather scary.
