Gotta go with Arrested Development. I don't even see how any other TV show could be close.

Of course, in a few months I'll have to come up with a different answer to this question. *flips Fox the finger*

Good calls, 24 kicks ass too, my problem with these shows is I never get to see them more than 2 in a row, so then I lose track of what's going on, and spend my evenings watching Hardball, Tucker Carlson and Countdown

why is project runway good? ironically?

that's kinda what i was trying to figure out. watching grownass men cry in front of heidi klum when it's not even for sex loses its appeal pretty fast.
well, it's <good> because the challenges are kind of interesting. ok, take the clothes off your back and make something cool out of it. yeah, i don't have any idea how you do that, but it's there on the screen, wow, that was kind of neat. the personal psycho-drama that each of these artfags© bring to the table is a bonus, like all reality tv garbage. and for all time bitch fests, you've really gotta start looking at the tyra banks ouvre.

To elaborate on what has already been said, I could give a rip about all the drama-- it's only been 2 episodes, so don't base it all on the freak that cried at the runway. What I like is the fact that these people are given instruction for a design/build project, and it's interesting to see how different people react and proceed. The fashion industry is notoriously cutthroat, bitchy and generally has a short-attention span. So in that respect, I like seeing the different influences that people bring to a project. The clothes off the back thing was pretty interesting, as there were people who went totally 180 from the original intent of the outfit, and those who couldn't muster the creative skills to do anything differently. Also, the chick that got kicked off presented herself horribly (I wouldn't pair the top with the skirt or vice versa), so it's a nice lesson on how to defend your designs.

As a wife of a designer (industrial, not fashion), friends with many designers, and friends with people in the fashion world, I find a lot to pull from the show, and it's very entertaining imo.

Wire season 4 starts in September! Shield and 24 start up in a few weeks.

HBO Signature is running a series called Epitafios (Epitaphs) which is awesome as well.

Only TV show that I specifically set aside a block of time for. Family be damned.

That's about all I watch. I don't get Comedy Central. :(

And even though I think Arrested Development is better than 90% of what's on TV, I think it's pretty overrated. I agree with what Radcliffe (I think) said about the newer episodes seeming kind of dumbed down. Also, I missed pretty much all of the 2nd season, but from what I've seen of season 3, it seems like the show hasn't developed that much since the the first season. Even with the first season, I kinda had to be in the mood for it to really find it funny.

uh hmm.

I watch MSNBC more than anything else---especially since CNN axed Aaron Brown on "Newsnight" But yeah, I watch the fuck out of "Hardball" and "Countdown" and have actually found the Tucker Carlson show to be pretty watchable even if I do have the tendacy to fall asleep in the middle of it.

The Wire is the best show on TV, though. Not even close.

Add in Imus in the morining (You catch Martina McBride this morning??) and the fact that I don't have a remote, and this is the only channel I watch at the moment.

Even including Hardball & Meet the Press, I've only seen 5 of the shows mentioned. I don't even recognize most of the names of these shows.

Makes me wonder why I pay so much for my direct tv.

Yeah, I saw Martina. Pretty good. I like the Two Dollar Pistols version of "Thanks Alot" better but I thought she did a kickass "You Win Again"

Plus, I'd fuh. She's pretty hot.

I've finally gotten around to watching The Office in recent weeks and like it. Pretty funny shit.

Can't same the same for My Name Is Earl though I've managed to catch it a couple times as well. Painful.

I thought the first episode of Earl was good, but everyone since has been miserable. Big fan of the office.

I actually tape the 11PM CST airing of "Countdown" every nite so I can watch it when I get home from work.

But I gotta go with "Arrested Development" as the best thing on TV at the moment.

Thirded.

But, the question is, would you be a FOX News Channel watcher had Matthews's contract for Front Page - he was one of three commentatos on that short-lived FOX Network newsmagazine (Lupica was another) - carried over to FNC?
